2024 Tony Awards: Highlights, Winners, and Show-Stopping Performances

The 2024 Tony Awards were a night to remember as Broadway’s brightest shone on the grand stage last night, June 16th. The ceremony, hosted by the fabulous Ariana DeBose for the third year in a row, celebrated the crème de la crème of the theater world with performances that left us all dazzled.

Leading the pack with an impressive 13 nominations each were “Hell’s Kitchen,” a jukebox musical featuring Alicia Keys’ soulful tunes, and “Stereophonic,” a graced with original songs by Arcade Fire’s Will Butler. These two powerhouses went head-to-head for the coveted titles of best musical and best play. ¡Que emocionante!

But the excitement didn’t stop there. The Tony Awards rolled out the red carpet for some serious from the world of film and television. , Rachel McAdams, Sarah Paulson, and Daniel Radcliffe were all in the running for their incredible performances on the Great White Way. Radcliffe, in particular, turned heads with his role in the revival of Stephen Sondheim’s “Merrily We Roll Along.” ¡Bravo!

Earlier in the evening, Julianne Hough and Utkarsh Ambudkar hosted “The Tony Awards: Act One” on PlutoTV, where they handed out several awards to kick off the celebration. It was like a delicious appetizer before the main course!
